Saints in the Streets – A Message from Connie Merkel

Please see the message from Connie Merkel about Saints in the Streets below:

I’d like to share a great volunteer opportunity with you called “Saints in the Streets“.  This will be our 9th year for this neighborhood outreach event on the near west side of Indy.  SITS works with neighborhood leaders to identify  projects such as street and alley cleaning, neighborhood parks needing attention, working with elderly neighbors and some community painting projects.
Please join us on OCT. 1st, from 8 am to noon.  We will meet at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 337 N. Warman Ave., for opening prayer and instructions.  Volunteers will then fan out in the neighborhood to a variety of projects.  Volunteers will receive a free T shirt to identify them as part of the volunteer corp. Work projects will end at noon and all volunteers will be served lunch.
Check us out on facebook at Saints in the Streets and register for the clean up event on Oct. 1st.  The Near West neighborhoods are just west of the IUPUI campus so please join us in making a difference on Oct. 1st.

Make sure you join your neighbors for Saints in the Streets on Saturday, October 1st!
